Pediatric Sleep Disorders Center Accredited
Congratulations to the Pediatric Sleep Disorders Center. Yemi Kifle, M.D.
and Greg Redding, M.D. along with Jennifer Abermanis, Administrator,
Clinical Systems & Logistics, and Bruce Bonner, R.P.S.G.T., R.R.T.,
Manager of the Sleep Disorder Center, announced that the recent site visit
by the AASM awarded a five-year accreditation. The site visitors stated,
"You are developing the standard for the development of pediatric sleep
centers." Dr. Kifle has recently received full certification in Sleep
Medicine by the AASM. Congratulations to all.
Faculty NewsPUBLICATIONS
Daniel G. Miller, M.D., Ph.D., Acting Assistant Professor in the Division of Medical Genetics, along with Lisa M. Petek & David W. Russell, just published an article entitled, "Adeno-associated virus vectors integrate at chromosome breakage sites" in the July 2004 issue of Nature Genetics (Volume 36, No. 7. pp.767 - 773).
Thomas K. Jones, M.D., Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories in the Division of Cardiology, has had a paper accepted for publication: Shah MJ, Jones, TK, Cecchin F. Improved localization of right sided accessory pathways with microcatheter assisted right coronary artery mapping in children. Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology.
Daniel Gunther, M.D., M.A., Associate Professor in the Division of Endocrinology, has just published a paper about a rare case of cyclical Cushing syndrome.
