As Canvas adoption continues to increase (by 43% in Winter Quarter 2013), UW-IT continues to make it easier to use. In late January, UW-IT released two new features that make it easier to transition from Catalyst Web Tools to Canvas: importing WebQ quiz content and copying CommonView content.

Google Login for Catalyst Web Tools

Up until recently, non-UW collaborators who wanted to use Catalyst Web Tools had two options. They could get a sponsored UW NetID from a current UW faculty or staff member, or they could create a ProtectNetwork (PN) account and use a PN ID. On November 2, UW-IT released a third option for logging in to Catalyst Web Tools: Google ID.
