About Participant Experience Settings
Participant experience settings allow you to customize what participants can do and see during and after taking the survey or quiz. For example, during a survey, you can choose to allow your participants to save responses they have entered so far, and return to the survey later to answer the rest of the questions. After a participant has completed and submitted a survey or quiz, you can show them some information, such as which questions they answered correctly.
The participant experiences settings that are available depend upon which security setting you selected and whether you are working with a survey or quiz. Many participant experience options are not available if you are using "Anyone" as your security setting or creating an anonymous research survey, because WebQ doesn't record any information about the participant. Thus, the software cannot tell who the participant is, or if they have visited the survey before. The table below lists all of the possible participant experience settings, and indicates which ones are available for anonymous (meaning surveys or quizzes that use "Anyone" security, or an anonymous research survey) surveys and quizzes and those that use all other types of security.

*For anonymous quizzes and surveys, participants can always take the survey or quiz multiple times. However, you won't know that the same participant has taken the survey multiple times, as no identifying information is recorded in the results.
