Create, share, or review bookmarks
Bookmarking a lecture makes it easy to refer back to a specific term or concept. You can create bookmarks while watching a recorded lecture or during class with the Tegrity app that is available on iPod, iPad, and Android. You can create bookmarks on PCs and Macs, although the interface differs slightly. This images here show how to create bookmarks using a PC.
Add a bookmark at a specific point in a lecture:
In the bottom left corner of your screen, find the comment box (highlighted here in orange).
Type a comment, or, in the lower right corner of the box, choose an option from the menu: yellow exclamation point = important, red question mark = unclear, green A = comment. When you are ready to place the bookmark, click Add.
Share a bookmark:
You can make a bookmark public or private. The avatar icons to the left of your comment indicate status. The single avatar signifies a private bookmark. The double avatar signifies a public bookmark, that everyone in your class can view. Click the icon to toggle between private and public.
To tweet, email, or delete your bookmark, hover over it. Three icons appear to the right: Twitter, email, and a delete button.
To review your bookmarks:
A colored dot appears on the video timeline wherever you have placed a bookmark. To return to a bookmarked spot, click the colored dot. Or, in the comment box, click the comment icon (A, ?, !) to the left of your comment.
