About File Manager

File Manager is a Web-based file management tool available to students, faculty and staff at the University of Washington. It provides access to WebFiles, a Uniform Access computer with an additional 1.5 GB of file storage space on WebDAV (Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning). Depending on your UW student, staff, faculty or alumni status, File Manager also provides access to your file storage on Dante, Homer, or MyUW.net.

Since File Manager is Web-based, you can upload, work with, and download files from any Internet-connected computer with a Web browser. The tool was developed by Catalyst in collaboration with UW Technology. Initial funding was provided by the Student Technology Fee. Currently, File Manager is being expanded and WebDAV clients are in available.

In addition to File Manager, there are several other file storage options available to UW faculty, staff, and students.
