Lists
Word provides a number of options for creating lists.
Bulleted and Numbered Lists
To create a bulleted or numbered list, follow these steps:
- Click the Bullets list button
or Numbering list button
from the Paragraph group on the Home tab. - Type the first entry of your list, and press <Enter>. A new number or bullet will be created on the next line.
If you would like to create lists of multiple levels, do one of the following:
- Click the Increase Indent and Decrease Indent buttons from the Paragraph group on the Home tab.
- Press the <Tab> key on your keyboard to increase the indent of a list item, or press the <Shift> + <Tab> keys to decrease the indent of a list item.
Formatting Lists
To choose from a variety of different list styles, click the arrow next to the Bulleted List button and Numbered List button on the Home tab.
