Getting additional help

Help Center LaTeX Getting additional help

Because LATEX has been around for so long, there are many resources where you can find additional help when needed. Here are just a few.

The University of Washington has a TeX Users Group (TUG). Their website is:

http://depts.washington.edu/uwtug/

There are several books at the University of Washington Libraries about LATEX. I recommend searching for latex typesetting to avoid books about latex rubber.

Finally you can search the Internet for information about LATEX or other TeX Users Groups. The website for the LATEX project is:

http://www.latex-project.org/

The website for the main TeX Users Group is:

http://www.tug.org/

The Comprehensive TeX Archive Network (CTAN) can be found at:

http://www.ctan.org/

at this site you can find LATEX packages and free distributions of LATEX and some related software. The CTAN website has a more comprehensive tutorial at:

http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/info/lshort/english/lshort.pdf

Also PCTeX and OzTeX come with help files and other helpful information.
