PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Internet2 K20 Initiative is looking for a student programmer to help build an online community for the advanced networking community both within the United States and around the world. The goal of the project is to connect K-12 teachers, community college and university faculty, librarians, museums, science centers and other educational organizations around the use of advanced network-enabled teaching and learning applications. The system is based on an open-source content management system called Drupal [http://www.drupal.org]

CALL FOR STUDENT COLLABORATORS:

Does helping develop and shape this project sound like fun to you?! We are looking for students with interest and/or experience working on social networking sites and have skills in the following areas: AJAX, PHP, MySQL, Javascript, Google Maps APIs, RSS feeds, XHTML, CSS, and effective user interface design. Experience with Drupal a strong plus.

WAGES

Depending upon experience with hourly wage reviews based upon performance.

A satisfactory outcome from a criminal background verification will be required prior to hire.
