Read for the Record is this Thursday!

Join us on October 19, 2017 to be a part of the world’s largest shared reading experience — bringing together over 2 million people each year in classrooms, libraries, community centers, and homes across the US. This annual campaign was launched over a decade ago to highlight the importance of building early literacy and language skills for EVERY child, so that all children have the opportunity to enter kindergarten prepared to succeed.

When you register to read, you’ll receive campaign news and updates on all things Read for the Record. Plus, we’ll include the number of children and adults you anticipate to read within our record-breaking total. Signing up is easy, FREE, and only takes a few minutes!

This year’s Read for the Record book is Quackers, by Liz Wong, a delightful story about a kitten who grows up believing he’s a duck, until the days he meets another kitten. What follows is a sweet tale about understanding, acceptance, and learning it’s ok to be whoever you want to be.
