UW Managed Print Services - Ricoh scan to email setup

A number of Nebula Departments have been acquiring Ricoh printers through the  UW Managed Print Services (MPS) program.  

There are a couple steps to do prior to setting up "scan-to-email" on the printer.

A Shared UW NetID account is recommended to setup the "scan-to-email" section.  Go here to request a Shared UW NetID.

A "From" Account is needed as the reply address provided with the scan e-mail. This can be a user or departmental address.

Information required to setup "scan to email" correctly:

  • Configure DNS server - 128.95.112.1, 128.95.120.1 (Two entries required)
  • "use secure ssl connection with SMTP" should be ON.
  • "Encryption" is set to 'AUTO'
