Set Up A Conference Call Yourself For Up To Six Participants
Anyone using the campus Avaya telephone system can make a three way conference call no matter what type of telephone instrument is being used. Depending on the type of telephone set, more parties may be added up to a total of six. To request information about using your telephone for up to six person party conference calls, please contact the UW Information Technology Service Center at help@uw.edu or call 206-221-5000.

For More Than Three Participants
Conference calls with more than three participants may
require some special instructions. To schedule a conference
call with more than three participants or to obtain
information about doing so, please dial 206-685-6060.
Reservations for conference calls may be made between the
hours of 8 a.m and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
On Demand - Up to 30
UW Teleconferencing
UW Information Technology provides access to on-demand conferencing capabilities. UW Teleconferencing provides a reservation-less, audio conferencing bridge with capability for up to 30 participants. This system allows organizations to hold conference calls on-demand, without paying per-use fees for simple reservation-less conference calls.
Advantages include:
- Easy to use, low-cost conferencing solution for up to 30 parties.
- Best solution for day-to-day, impromptu conferencing needs.
- No per minute/per user charge for conference.

Premiere Global Services
Premiere Global Services (An Adobe Service Partner) is the preferred UW provider for large audio on-demand conferences, international conferences, and special events.

Premiere ReadyConference Plus is an on-demand audio conference with capability up to 125 participants. This service is available for $0.06/min/participant contiguous US, including Toll Free access.

Premiere GlobalMeet (International On Demand, Up to 125 Participants)
Varies by country
Premiere GlobalMeet is also an on-demand audio conference similar to ReadyConferece Plus, but it has the added capability of International Toll-Free Dial-in access. The per minute rate for this service depends on which country the participant is calling from. The rate is $0.10/min/participant contiguous US.

PremiereCall Connection (Operator-Assisted Dial-Out including International)

Premiere also provides operator assisted dial-out services through their PremiereCall Connnection offering. In this service, the Premiere conference operator will dial out to your VIP or international participants. This service is available for a rate of $0.15/min/participant.

PremiereCall Event is a full service, white glove operator-assisted event conferencing service with operator screening/greeting for participants and moderators. A dedicated team, including an Event Manager will assist with scheduling and planning your conference.

What is it?
A Flash-based virtual meeting room that allows you to
connect with multiple participants to share audio, video,
applications, and chat.
What do you need?
A computer (Mac/PC) that has at least Adobe Flash 8
installed.
A phone to call into the audio conference or a microphone
and speakers for VoIP.
A webcam (if you want to share your video).

- PGI Audio Conference Client ID (if you already own one).
- Preferred URL for your meeting: http://confer.uw.edu/[your URL]
- Preferred Adobe Connect Username.
Either your own UW NetID , or if sharing the account with a group, a username based on the group name.
Equipment and Hardware Requirements
To purchase a speakerphone conference unit contact eProcurement. If you are interested in renting a conference unit contact GBH, Inc.
The following units are compatible with our telephone system:
- Regular SoundStation Analog Polycom
- Avaya IP 4690 conference unit
- Konexx analog to digital converter
- Konexx RJ11/RJ45 combo cord
If you use an analog phone jack (i.e., single line phone jack) UW-IT recommends that you purchase the Regular SoundStation Analog Polycom unit. This model can also be used with a digital jack (i.e., 2400 series telephone set) but a Konexx analog to digital adapter is required. If you desire to use your PBX2400 digital set simultaneously with your Polycom unit you will need to purchase the Konexx RJ11/RJ45 combo cord.
If you use a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) port you will need to purchase the Avaya IP 4690 conference unit. All other IP units will not function with our telephone system.

All of these conference units and the Konexx converter can be self installed, however if you need assistance a technician visit can be arranged. Time and material charges will apply.
