To set or change the security on your poll, follow these steps:
- On your catalyst account page, click on the title of the poll. You will move to the overview page.
- Click Settings.
- Select a security setting to control who can view and take the poll. Choose from the following security settings:
Anyone: This means that anyone with the poll URL can view and take your poll. Also, participants are able to submit multiple times.
Anyone with a UW NetID: This security setting requires people who try accessing your poll to log in with their UW NetID and password. You will be able to choose later to allow participants to submit votes multiple times or just once.
Members of specific groups and/or class lists: This security setting also prompts participants to log in with a UW NetID, but only allows members of your groups or class lists to view and access the poll.
- If you select "Members of specific groups and/or class lists," the group chooser will appear. Click Browse to select an existing group or class list, or click Create to create a new group. Follow these instructions to create a new group.
You will be able to choose later to allow participants to submit votes multiple times or just once.
- When you are done modifying the security setting for the poll, click Save at the bottom of the page.
