Set Participant Access

Participant access settings allow you to control who can submit files to your dropbox. You can accept files from anyone with a UW NetID, or you can restrict access to the dropbox to a specific set of UW NetIDs.

Follow the steps below to set participant access:

  1. StepsActions
  2. From the account page, click the name of the dropbox you want to set access to. You will move to the dropbox home page.
  3. Click Manage.
  4. Click Edit under Access & Roles.
  5. In the gray "Participants" panel on the left side, select one of the following access options for submitting files to your dropbox:
    Anyone with a UW NetID
    Members of groups and/or class lists

Anyone with a UW NetID

  1. StepsActions
  2. In the "Participants" panel on the left side, select Anyone with a UW NetID.
  3. When you are done making changes, click Save at the bottom of the page. If you would like to discard changes you have made, click Cancel.

Members of groups and/or class lists

  1. StepsActions
  2. In the "Participants" panel on the left side, select Members of groups and/or class lists. The group chooser will appear.
  3. Click to select an existing group or class list (the selected group will be highlighted) or click Add a Group to create a new group. Follow these instructions to create a new group.
  4. When finished, click Save at the bottom of the page or click Cancel to discard your changes.
