Classroom Computers

Classroom Technology & Events supports desktop computers installed in a number of general assignment classrooms.

Available To

  • Faculty, Teaching Assistants, and Researchers in conjunction with state-supported, credit-generating courses.
  • Faculty, Staff and Registered Student Organizations (RSO's) in conjunction with pre-arranged, fee-based activities.

Benefits

Computers are transforming teaching and learning by helping instructors engage students in new ways. CTE maintains installed desktop computers in select classrooms for courses, presentations and events.

Key Features

  • Support for CTE managed desktop computing hardware and operating system software used in conjunction with AV presentation systems in teaching and learning spaces.
  • Maintenance of standard desktop operating system image and software suite.
  • Desk-side technical support for desktop hardware, operating software and supported applications.
  • Patching and security updates for operating system software, and supported applications.

  • UW NetID Logon
  • Valid UW budget required for paid services.

Cost

  • No cost for credit-generating teaching activities.
  • Valid UW budget required for paid services.

Getting Started

  • Instructors and Teaching Assistants may use their UW NetID to access classroom computers for credit-generating teaching activities. Room and equipment charges may apply to other users.
