UW-IT now has a new single point of contact to make it easy to get technology help with just one phone number (1-5000) and one email address (firstname.lastname@example.org). Also, a redesigned 1-5000 phone menu provides information callers need more quickly, thanks to input from the campus community. Detailed contact and walk-in location information for the UW-IT Service Center and Help Desks can be found on the Get Help page in IT Connect.

UW students, faculty, and staff now can sign up for UW Alert to receive official information during emergencies for any or all of the UW’s three campuses, thanks to recent enhancements to the UW’s emergency mass notification system. You can also specify or change how you want to receive alerts—by text message and/or email—and you can unsubscribe. These enhancements also include automatically updating the UW Alert Facebook and Twitter pages, helping to keep the University community better informed during emergencies and disruptive situations.
