Aerial View of the Campus ca. 1916

Two of the buildings in the Liberal Arts Quadrangle are in the foreground with Denny and Parrington Halls in the background. The North portion of Savery Hall (front left) was built in 1916 and the South in 1919. The north portion was originally called Commerce Hall, but it was changed to Guthrie Hall around 1958. The South portion was called Philosophy Hall, but it was renamed Savery Hall in the late 30's. Bebb and Gould were the architects for both sections, which were combined in 1972 under Savery Hall.
