Lodging
There are many fine hotels surrounding the University of Washington, as well as in the general Seattle area. Parents and families should keep two things in mind in making arrangements for lodging. First, Commencement this year will take place at CenturyLink Field, just south of downtown Seattle (see map). Also, many of the University's schools, colleges, and departments have their own graduation events. These events generally (but not always) take place on or near the UW campus during the week before commencement. You can obtain information about these events on our School, Dept., Other Events page.
Depending upon what events you are attending on campus and any other plans you have, you may want to book lodging near campus or closer to CenturyLink Field. It might also be advantageous to find a hotel that would be willing to provide shuttle service to and from CenturyLink Field on Commencement Day. Parking near CenturyLink may be limited.
