The 140th Annual Ceremony | June 13, 2015 at Husky Stadium

139th draft

crowdstreamers4On June 14, 2014, the University of Washington will honor the graduating class of 2014 at the University’s 139th Commencement Exercises. 5,000 graduates will take the field at the magnificent new Husky Stadium to the cheers and applause of 40,000 family members and friends. It will be a once-in-a-lifetime event in the lives of graduates and parents alike – an experience not to be missed.

Unless you have already been through a ceremony of this magnitude it’s difficult to imagine what one student described as “the grandness of it all.”  There is nothing quite like entering a stadium filled with excited “fans” who are there for only one purpose – to honor their loved ones and bring a momentous chapter in the lives of their sons, daughters, relatives and friends to a rousing and celebratory close. But those who have participated in a University of Washington graduation know the palpable pride and excitement that hits a graduate when they walk onto the field and process to their seats, and again when they walk across the huge Commencement stage. President Young, the regents and University deans and leadership, and well over 150 faculty members, all dressed in their finest academic robes, will be there to confer degrees and honor the graduating class.

Stay tuned as we continue to update you on Commencement and the events that surround the ceremony and feel free to contact our office if you have any questions.

Congratulations to the Class of 2014!  See you in June at Husky Stadium!
