The Special Committee on Legislative Matters advises the Senate Executive Committee on legislative issues, counsels the Faculty Legislative Representatives on political strategies, and focuses faculty attention on specific legislative concerns. The Committee assists with studies of matters under legislative scrutiny that may affect faculty welfare, and coordinates faculty invitations to legislators (e.g., for campus visits).
