Council Chair Sandra Silberstein, is Professor and Associate Chair of
English, and adjunct in Women’s Studies and Linguistics. She is an
applied linguist who works in second language acquisition and discourse
analysis, particularly public rhetorics in times of national crisis.
Her current work is on discourses of terrorism, war, and occupation.
