Council Chair David T. Takeuchi is a sociologist and currently Professor in the School of Social Work and the Department of Sociology at the University of Washington. He is the Katherine Hall Chambers Scholar and the Associate Dean for Research in the School of Social Work. His research focuses on investigating the social, structural, and cultural contexts that are associated with different health outcomes, especially among racial and ethnic minorities.
