The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) plans and acquires resources for improvements to the streets, sidewalks, paths and parking facilities needed by those traveling to the University of Washington and the University District. The TIP aligns facility improvements with the University’s sustainable objectives. The program seeks to articulate campus transportation facility needs driven by campus and University District development programs. The program interfaces with local, regional and state transportation improvement plans so that University needs are adequately addressed in these plans. The program contracts for the construction of major transportation projects funded with Facility Services resources.
We support the University’s mission and strategic objectives by securing the transportation infrastructure necessary to support the efficient movement of people and goods on and adjacent to the Seattle campus.
We will actively participate in inter-agency coordination of regional transportation infrastructure development, providing efficient and sustainable transportation solutions for the University and its neighbors.
