U-PASS Replacement: Students

U-PASS Replacement: Students

If you did not receive your U-PASS with your registration confirmation form, visit the ID Center if you wish to obtain a replacement. ID card staff will issue you a replacement and ask you to sign a certifying statement. The ID Center does not begin issuing replacement U-PASSes prior to the first day of classes and charges no replacement fee through the first week of the quarter.

After the first week, there is a $40 fee for U-PASS replacement; the replacement fee is in addition to the cost of the U-PASS itself. The cost of replacing both a lost Husky Card and a U-PASS sticker is $50. Replacement fees are non-refundable. Students issued a replacement U-PASS sticker are not permitted to cancel the $99 U-PASS fee by returning the sticker. Repeated requests to replace a U-PASS could result in disciplinary action.

Withdrawal Fee:

For students who withdraw through the seventh calendar day of the quarter, the U-PASS fee increases to $200. The student owes the $200 U-PASS fee, unless the the U-PASS is returned to the University by the tuition due date.

Students who withdraw after the seventh calendar day pay one-half of their tuition, and may choose to retain the U-PASS for $99 or return it no later than the tuition due date if they wish to have the $99 fee cancelled. There are no U-PASS refunds after the tuition payment deadline and no replacements of lost U-PASS stickers for students who have withdrawn.

For a full explanation of the U-PASS as a student fee, see online Student Guide, “Tuition and Fees”. This link also details how to petition the U-PASS fee if you did not receive your U-PASS in the mail and you do not wish to obtain a U-PASS replacement.
