If you do not wish to retain the U-PASS and do not wish to be charged:

  • Return the U-PASS unused on its paper carrier card by the tuition due deadline (third Friday of the quarter).
  • You may return it by mail in the blue business reply envelope that comes with your enrollment confirmation or in person to the Student Fiscal Services (129 Schmitz Hall) or to the ID Center (ground floor of OUGL).

English as a Second Language (ESL) students, UW Extension students

The U-PASS cannot be returned, if you choose to purchase it and have affixed it to your Husky Card.

ACCESS students, tuition exempt students

The U-PASS cannot be returned, if you choose to purchase it and have affixed it to your Husky Card.

Other Information

For a full explanation of the U-PASS as a student fee, see online Student Guide, “Tuition and Fees”.

Withdrawal fee: The U-PASS fee for students who withdraw within the first seven calendar days of the quarter is $200. Students owe the $200 fee unless they return their U-PASS to the Student Fiscal Services Office or the ID Center by the tuition due date.

Students who withdraw after the seventh calendar day pay one-half of their tuition and may retain their U-PASS for the fee charged to enrolled students. Alternately, if the student returns their U-PASS by the tuition due date, the U-PASS fee will be cancelled. There are no U-PASS refunds after the tuition payment deadline and no replacements of lost U-PASS stickers for students who have withdrawn.
