Our Staff

November 2009
Between now and early January 2010 some big changes are in store for Records. Expect some days of curtailed operation and perhaps some closures as we prepare to move our operations and staff to Plant Operations Annex 7. The current goal is to be fully operational in Annex 7 by mid January 2010.

October 2009
Records scan-to-web project...

  • Total 'active' Drawings held -> 103,842
  • Total 'active' Drawings viewable on the web -> 99,739
    • That's 96.05% of Total 'active' Drawings held
  • Drawings added to web in October -> 1,314
  • Total Specs/Manuals held -> 8,589
  • Total Specs/Manuals received since Jan. 2003 (start of scanning) -> 2,490
  • Total Specs/Manuals viewable on the web -> 2,553
    • That's 29.72% of Total Specs/Manuals held

May 2007
Almost everyone should be able to view/print/download the documents linked to our web database now (see numbers above). Changes allow the images to load into the default graphics viewer on your computer. The largest known viewing problems involve some Windows Vista/IE7 combinations or tiff images associated with improper viewers (such as QuickTime) on your local machine.

Mission


The mission of the Campus Engineering - Records unit of the Engineering Services office is to receive and maintain facility record documents commonly used by campus units, students, consultants, and the general public. The Campus Engineering - Records unit also provides document reproduction services, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) services, campus aerial photos, and other specialty services.

Location


Campus Engineering - Records offices are on the University of Washington Seattle campus in room 6 in the basement of the Physical Plant Office Building (additional information is available on SeaTac airport to UW Seattle campus map)
