FS Safety Manual
It is the policy of the University of Washington and Facilities Services (FS) to provide and maintain safe and healthful working conditions, and to follow operating practices that will safeguard all employees and the public, and result in safe working conditions and efficient operation.
Basic information on Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act (WISHA) and other applicable regulations is contained UW Administrative Policy Statement 10.3, on line at: http://www.washington.edu/admin/rules/APS/10.03TOC.html. Facilities Services SAFETY PRACTICES provide additional detailed information on safe work practices for FS employees.
Safety is no accident. Each employee is expected to promote safe work practices and to help maintain property and equipment in safe operating condition.
