Managing FS‑WORKS Ariba Email Notification

When an FS‑WORKS request is submitted, it goes through the Astra/Ariba routing system. Ariba will send an email to the requestor and any approvers that are setup. Settings can be changed in Ariba to help manage these Ariba emails.

Navigating to Ariba Customer Request Preferences  

  • Open up a web browser and go to the Ariba Home Page. This will require your UW NetID.
  • In the upper left of the black control bar, click on the “Preferences” link.

  • Under category Change/View your Preferences: click on change “email notification preferences”

  • In the Set Email Preference webpage, go to the drop down that says “Default preferences for all document types”

  • Select from this drop down “Preferences for Customer Request”

Making Ariba Work With Pine  

  • Navigate to the Ariba Customer Request Preferences (using the instructions above)
  • Select “Plain Text” if you are using Pine. Leave it as “HTML” if you use Outlook Express.

  • After the “OK” button is clicked you will return to the Change/View Personal Profile webpage.

Turning off FS‑WORKS Ariba Notifications  

  • Navigate to the Ariba Customer Request Preferences (using the instructions above)
  • Under the item “When my document is fully approved”, uncheck the “Send e-mail” box.
