Departments Responsible for the
Facilities Management Program

Capital and Space Planning Office (CASPO)
Directs the assignment of space to all University organizations. Develops and
manages the capital budget.
 
 
Capital Projects Office (CPO)
Manages the planning, design, construction, renovation and improvement of
University facilities.
Facilities Services (FS)
Operates and maintains all University buildings, grounds and utilities systems.
Conducts minor facility alterations and improvements.
 
Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S)
Manages environmental and occupational health and safety regulatory compliance.
Establishes and enforces standards, policies and procedures to ensure the health
and safety of all University students, faculty, staff and visitors.
 
Purchasing and Stores
Provides for the purchase of all goods and services, and for the operation of stores
facilities.

Computing and Communications (C&C)

Responsible for planning, directing and overseeing all resources associated with the University's computing, information technology, and telecommunications systems, networking, television and telecommunication systems, facilities, services and infrastructure. This includes installation of cabling and related items for network infrastructure, information systems, telecommunications, and video and TV production.
 
 
Real Estate Office (REO)
Manages the planning and implementation of tenant improvements and maintenance in leased facilities.
UW Project Tracker
A web-based tool for departmental administrator management of their construction projects over $55,000 and construction ideas without funding.
