Receiving Reports - Crystal Enterprise

Crystal Enterprise (https://fsce.u.washington.edu/ce) is Facilities Services’ Web-based Crystal Reports report deployment system. All Crystal Enterprise reports are based on Maintenance and Alterations and Campus Operations work management system FME (also FS-WORKS) data. Crystal Enterprise is accessible to both clients and FME users; however, individual access must be granted by the reporting committee.

Contact the reporting committee with all Crystal Enterprise issues, including access and report requests.

When bookmarking (adding to Favorites) the Crystal Enterprise Web site, be sure the URL is set to the following: https://fsce.u.washington.edu/ce
This can be done by mouse right-clicking on the bookmark, selecting “Properties,” changing the URL as noted above on the “Web Document” tab, and clicking “Apply.”

Please always log out of Crystal Enterprise by clicking the Logoff button () located in the upper right corner of the browser before closing the browser.

Viewing

  1. Log on to Crystal Enterprise.
  2. Navigate through the folders to locate the report in question. (Hovering the mouse cursor over the report title shows a brief report description.) Navigate to lower-level subfolders by mouse-clicking any folder listed in the left column of the screen. Navigate to upper-level folders by mouse-clicking any folder listed in the navigation hierarchy found in the black portion of the screen header.
  3. To view the latest report, click on the desired report and select “View Latest Instance.” Or, for runtime reports, click “View.”
  4. To view historical versions of the report, click on the desired report and select “History.” Click on the instance time (i.e. report refresh date) to view that historical instance.
  5. To navigate through a report, use the page navigation buttons () located in the toolbar at the top of the browser window. Reports with an outline, located in the left column of the window if available, can also be navigated through by mouse-clicking on the desired section.

Printing

  1. Log on to Crystal Enterprise.
  2. Navigate through the folders to locate the report in question.
  3. Click on the desired report and select “View Latest Instance.” Or, for runtime reports, click “View.”
  4. Click on the Export icon ().
  5. Select format “Microsoft Word (.doc)” or other format.
  6. Check “Open exported report in new window?”
  7. Click “Click here to start download of exported report.” (Note: If your Web browser blocks downloads, click on the yellow bar that appears below the toolbar and select “Download File…”)
  8. If prompted, enter the desired parameters and click “View Report.”
  9. Click Open.
  10. From the File menu, select Print.
  11. If printing a certain section of the report only, select “Pages:” and enter the page range.
  12. Select the appropriate printer.
  13. Click OK.
  14. Click Yes for every page if asked to print outside the margins.

Distribution Lists

Contact the reporting committee to be added to or removed from a report distribution list.

In-house reports distributed on a regular basis include the following:

  • FOMS log
  • Sshutdown report
  • Stores transactions not created
  • Stores transactions with incorrect information
  • Capital Projects work request summary spreadsheet
