Parking Information

The University of Washington does NOT provide free parking to customers visiting the Surplus Property warehouse. Please DO NOT park in parking lot N26 or any other UW parking lot unless you have purchased a UW parking permit. A pay parking station is available to the public in nearby university lot N25, just to the south of us. Parking in front of the Plant Service Building is limited to LOADING ONLY in the designated load zones and for the posted time limit ONLY. Violators will be ticketed. We do NOT have any parking agreement with University Village across the street and do not condone nor endorse parking in the University Village lots. Be advised that parking in University Village lots can result in ticketing, towing, and impounding.

Payment Methods

Cash, money order, cashier’s check, or Visa/MasterCard will be accepted during and after the auction and payment must be completed by 3:30 p.m. on the Thursday following the auction. There is a 10% buyer’s premium added to all auction purchases. Washington State sales tax will be applied to all auction invoices. A completed resale permit or tax exemption certificate is required at time of registration for all buyers who wish to qualify for tax exemption.

NO PERSONAL OR BUSINESS CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Removal of Items

Removal hours are 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the day of the auction and 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. the week following the auction. All items must be removed by 3:30 p.m. on the Friday following the auction.

The buyer is solely responsible for removal of all items. Warehouse staff will move items from the warehouse to the loading area. A forklift operator will be available to offer assistance.
