CHANGES IN CUSTODIAL HOURS
Update
Effective July 1, 2009, Custodial Services will clean most all UW buildings during the early morning shift 5AM to 1:30PM. The majority of the campus is already on a day schedule. Custodial Services Managers and Supervisors will be working with Building Coordinators to insure that the transition to days is as smooth as possible.

Also Effective on July 1, 2009, Custodial Services will consolidated its Work Areas from 11 to 8. This means that your building may have new Custodial Staff assigned to it. A list is provided of the Areas of responsibility for each Manager and Supervisor, along with their contact information (Building List). Services levels are expected to remain relatively consistent for all public spaces.

Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability Principles
The Custodial Division has a strong commitment to Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability. It is our policy to practice environmentally conscious cleaning and sanitation procedures. We have established a ‘Green’ Cleaning Policy and ‘Green’ Cleaning Guidelines to educate our staff and to develop partnerships among faculty and staff to be environmentally responsible. Green Cleaning
Congratulations! Through UWFS Custodial Division effort and application, the University of Washington has become the Main Winner (University category) of the Green Cleaning Award for Schools and Universities. This award is sponsored by American School & University magazine, The Green Cleaning Network, and The Healthy School Campaign.
EMERGENCY SITUATIONS:
Emergency Phone 24, hours: 206-685-1411. Custodial Services provides clean-up and restoration in response to emergency situations resulting from fire, flood, or vandalism 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. During business hours (8am-5pm) call 206 685-1500.
