Wood Waste
Recycling & Solid Waste collects clean wood waste, including pallets, for composting. Clean wood waste has no paint, oil, Styrofoam, or shrink wrap on it. Note: wood waste that has paint or other contaminants can be recycled as construction and demolition waste.
Pallets
Stack pallets on your building’s loading dock. Recycling & Solid Waste regularly picks up pallets at most loading docks. If your building does not have a loading dock or if you have placed a large number of pallets on the dock, contact Recycling & Solid Waste.
Other clean wood waste
Stack clean wood waste (no paint, oil, Styrofoam, or shrink wrap) on your building’s loading dock, and then contact Recycling & Solid Waste to schedule pickup. If you regularly generate clean wood waste, contact Recycling & Solid Waste to arrange regular service.
Wood waste from inside a building
Recycling & Solid Waste will pick up pallets and other clean wood waste from inside a building. Contact Recycling & Solid Waste to arrange pickup. Note: there is a charge for this service.
