UW Surplus Store 10th Anniversary
Looking toward the future as they celebrate a decade of operational success.
By Eric Wahl

UW SurplusThe UW Surplus Store celebrated its 10th anniversary of sales to the public on Tuesday, May 29th. The party included cake, beverages, historical displays, information about local success stories, and some great UW Surplus swag.

Among the unique items on display in the warehouse was the enormous Union Jack flag that flew in Hec Ed Pavilion during Queen Elizabeth II’s visit in 1983.

Just as importantly, the festivities allowed the UW Surplus team to thank their dedicated customers and welcome new faces. It was a chance to meet and greet the full range of colorful folks who contribute to the success of the UW Surplus operation and its ongoing endeavors to keep things out of the landfill. We are continuing our evolution with some great new projects on the horizon, and we look forward to the next ten years!
