The UW’s largest research vessel, the R/V Thomas G. Thompson, is getting a midlife overhaul. The ship recently began a yearlong stay near Seattle’s Harbor Island for a complete overhaul of its propulsion system, navigation and man core engineering systems. Read more from UW Today.
