UW among top colleges doing the most for low-income students

The New York Times recently measured top colleges and their economic diversity efforts to create a College Access Index. The University of Washington is ranked #13 of more than 150 institutions included. Rankings are based on the share of students who receive Pell Grants and the graduation rates of those students, in addition to the price that colleges charge both low- and middle-income students. The rankings also show the endowment per student at each college.
