Erica Bethurum Infrared / motion tracking camera, custom software Indistinction is an interactive installation that displays the intimacy of a individuals facial fingerprint as a means of networking with other viewers. The piece displays a pulse of liquid ripples which expand to unmask similar facial point features of past participant to show a connection between them and the individual interacting. About the Artist: Erica Bethurum is very interested in developing and expanding her knowledge of motion capture and 3d. Her main focus is to grow deeper in the world of animation and bring it to new heights within her art. As a multimedia animator she plans to use her corporate experience and training to further her exploration into new and emerging technologies and techniques to strengthen her future artistic abilities.
