Recruitment Team (2016-2017)

Dream Project’s impact comes from the hard work and long hours that our undergraduate mentors put in. The only way our program can continue to support the students we work with and to engage university students in issues regarding educational opportunity and social mobility is to consistently recruit new mentors. In order to attract the interest of undergraduates and get them involved with the program, we have a dedicated team devoted to recruiting them.

Recruitment Managers:

Responsibilities: Plan and conduct weekly Recruitment meetings. Oversee and support team members in implementing ideas to attract new mentors and help retain current mentors. Oversee recruitment tabling sessions, rent needed equipment, and purchase needed supplies.

External Recruitment Leads:

Responsibilities: Helps spread the word about Dream Project and recruit potential new mentors through the organization of activities such as tabling. External Recruitment is also in charge of collaborating with Pipeline Project and Carlson Center to arrange classroom presentations and other joint recruitment sessions.

Internal Recruitment Leads:

Responsibilities: coming soon

Social Media Lead:

Responsibilities: Updates social media accounts including Facebook and Instagram with information for mentors and the University community, as well as creating social media campaigns to attract new mentors for recruitment.

Design Lead:

Responsibilities: Prepares publications that will be used for recruitment. Brainstorms merchandise and design ideas for current members and for recruitment purposes. Contacts merchandising companies to get pricing and build relationships.

Events Leads:

Responsibilities: Creates and manages recruitment events to attract potential mentors to join the Dream Project as well as to encourage current mentors to continue to be a part of the program.
