Hello! My name is Athena Bollozos and I am one of the Dream Project AmeriCorps members this year. I graduated from the University of Washington this past spring with a degree in biochemistry and dance. During my undergraduate years, I participated in the Pipeline Project as a classroom aide at Washington Middle School and as a tutor-mentor to UW lowerclassmen. Through the Pipeline Project, I discovered my love for mentoring and seeing my mentees grow, which is why I am excited to take on this new role with Dream Project. As a Dream Project staff member, I support various leadership groups within Dream Project, assist with logistical work, as well as mentor at Renton High School. I look forward to becoming a part of the Dream Project community and contributing to advancing our community impact.

Hi All, I’m Shukri Salad, currently serving as an AmeriCorp member for the dream project. This means for the next year I’ll be manning one of the desks in the Dream Project Center. I first got involved with dream project as an undergraduate mentor, where I volunteered at Tyee, Evergreen & Ida B Wells. Having recently graduated from UW, I was excited to have the opportunity to continue my involvement in dream project as staff. I am looking forward to connecting with and supporting the different leadership bodies within dream project. As a first generation college student I believe in the value of college access programs and aim to collaborate with mentors for a successful year of dream project programming.
