Mentor Development Lead (Interest Survey)
The purpose of this role is to plan and coordinate New Mentor Workshops, implement leadership strategies and development into the current leadership structure, encourage mentors to seek out leadership positions, and facilitate and coordinate a weekly discussion session about ways to improve Dream Project with mentors from the program.
Publications Team Member (Interest Survey)
Publications is looking for 2 people with a propensity for design in the Dream Project to edit and create future publications. Those publications include the workbook, recruitment posters and flyers, and event related material. Time commitment varies week to week but around 4 hours at minimum available is a must. Skills desired include: Experience managing and working in a group in a high stress environment on deadline, at least some experience with a version of the Adobe suite, a creative mindset that can easily problem solve, willingness to take and apply feedback to their work and at least 1 full quarter of Dream Project experience. Those with little design experience, but a willingness to learn are also invited to apply.
9th/10th Grade Outreach Co-Lead (Interest Survey)
Description: Work on developing curriculum that gets information to students earlier on about the accessibility of a higher education to all students, as well as prompting them to start thinking about their post-secondary plans.
Responsibilities: Coordinating visits with our 9th & 10th graders at our partner schools. and working to create a system of periodic visits that can eventually become a part of DP’s normal operations. Provide and develop curriculum, materials, and other operation related components. Train mentors who will be facilitating workshops on 9th/10th grade.
