Alumni Spotlight: Amy Thai

I graduated from UW in 2016 with a double major in Psychology and Early Childhood Family Studies. I joined Dream Project during my junior year as a mentor at Auburn High School and I was also a College and Career Readiness Assistant at Pacific Middle School. Throughout my involvement with Dream Project, I became passionate about educational equity and gained greater respect for those that dedicate their lives to advocating for students’ voices.

Alumni Spotlight - Amy Thai

I am currently serving as an AmeriCorps member for College Access Now, and my role is to support 12th-grade students from disadvantaged backgrounds in accessing higher education. After AmeriCorps, I hope to continue working in the nonprofit field before pursuing a master’s degree in high school counseling. My end goal is to become a grant writer for the Gates Foundation so I can give money to education nonprofits like Dream Project to continue doing amazing work.
