AWW Preview

Welcome AWW

As a lot of you may know, Admissions Workshop Weekend (AWW) is coming up this Saturday and Sunday! AWW is a Dream Project event on the UW Campus where high school seniors can come to work on their personal statements and fill out their college applications. (Remember the deadline for the UW app is Sunday, December 1st.)

Here’s what you can expect to see at this year’s AWW:

-Approximately 1,000 high school students

-500 UW student mentors, plus hundreds of other volunteers

-An estimated 350-500 of the high school students will apply to UW; about 250 of them will join next year’s freshman class in Autumn 2014

In addition to the vast number of students attending this year (hundreds more than last year), we will also have the FOOD TRUCKS in Red Square (yay food!) and hear an inspirational speech from UW Outreach & Admissions Counselor Toka Valu.

AWW will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days in Mary Gates Hall and some of the surrounding buildings.

Hope to see you there! :)
