The role of the Disability Support Services Office (DSS) is to provide accommodations to persons with documented disabilities. DSS offers consultation to faculty, staff, and classified employees of the college for the purpose of designing accommodations that provide equal access to all. This is carried out within the overall goals and mission of Seattle Central College, Seattle Community College District’s Policy, and Procedure 387: Reasonable Accommodations for Students with Disabilities. Student Veterans Association

This student run organization focuses on the needs of student veterans, creating a support network that helps ease the transition from soldier to student. The organization runs A Lounge for Veterans in North Plaza Room 126E right next to the SAM Building. SCC Learning Support Network

The Learning Support Network provides high quality academic support to Seattle Central’s diverse student population in order to improve comprehension, increase competency, instill confidence, and promote success. This includes their Science and Math Learning Center; Math Path for students in Math 081, 084, 085, 091, 092, or 098; and a 24/7 online tutoring system.
