DO-IT Promotes Universal Design of Instruction in Science

Susan Musante, Education and Outreach Program Manager of the American Institute of Biological Sciences, published an article in the current issue of BioScience about the importance of fully including students with disabilities in science instruction. Titled "Eye on Education: Teaching Students with Disabilities: Applying and Learning Scientific Habits of Mind," DO-IT Director Sheryl Burgstahler provided input and pointers to DO-IT resources on universal design.
