What if a student with a disability disrupts my college class?

DO-IT Factsheet #413

All students, including those with disabilities, should be expected to comply with established campus behavioral standards. Consider discussing the problem with the student in private and informing him/her of behavioral expectations in the classroom.

Contact the campus student services unit that handles behavioral issues and/or the disability services coordinator for guidance.

For more information on positive behavioral interventions and supports, consult the OSEP-funded Technical Assistance Center on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports [1].
