AccessIT Builds Knowledge Base

by Sheryl Burgstahler, DO-IT Director

As part of the AccessIT project co-directed by DO-IT, we have created a searchable Knowledge Base of frequently asked questions, case studies, and promising practices regarding accessible electronic and information technology in all educational settings and at all levels — precollege, college, distance learning, etc. Technology covered includes desktop computers, laptops, educational software, Web sites, videotapes, telephones and other tools of the information age. Search for a topic of interest to you and see what treasures you find. The direct link to AccessIT is http://www.washington.edu/accessit/. Funding for AccessIT is provided by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) of the U.S. Department of Education.
