Students Fine Tune Their Job Interview Skills
Students Fine Tune Their Job Interview Skills with the Emerald
City Rotary Club
On Saturday, February 8th, the Emerald City Rotary Club and
DO-IT hosted a job interview preparation workshop for fifteen high school
and college students with disabilities. Many of the students in attendance
were DO-IT Scholars and Ambassadors, but we were delighted to have several
University of Washington students and a Foss High School student join us.
Dr. Bob Fraser did an excellent presentation on employment interview
research, followed by a discussion on disability disclosure during the
job application process. The students participated in mock interviews
with eight Rotary members and they had a great learning experience. The
Rotary members were equally impressed by their enthusiasm and
motivation. Thank you Emerald City Rotary Club!
