Changing your Password from Pine


DESCRIPTION

For security reasons it is recommended that you change your password regularly and that you do not write your password down in a public place or share it with others. Below are the steps for changing your password while you are using the PINE electronic mail program.

PROCEDURE

  1. From the main menu in PINE press "s" to select setup.

  2. Press "n" to select newpassword. Follow the prompts, typing in your old password once and the new password twice.

  3. Press "m" to return to the main menu. Next time you log onto the computer you must use your new password.
