South Pole Adventure
DESCRIPTION
How would you like the opportunity to become involved in experiments
being conducted at the South Pole from the comfort of your warm house?
The South Pole Adventure page offers students, educators, and amateur
scientists opportunities to become involved in experiments that are
being conducted at the South Pole. The page also contains factual
information about Antarctica as well as experiments that you can
perform at home. The South Pole Adventure page is supported by a
cooperative agreement from the National Science Foundation to the
University of Chicago. Check out the link to CARA (Center for
Astrophysical Research in Antarctica). CARA is using the unique
advantages of the Polar Plateau for astrophysics to investigate the
origin of the structure of the Universe.
