Glacier--Antarctic Exploration for Teachers and Students
DESCRIPTION
Visit a Web site that includes an introduction to the continent of
Antarctica, weather conditions, antarctic oceanography, and photographs of
life at several research stations. A browsable glossary of over 300 terms
related to Antarctica is available. This site is also the new home for
Teachers Experiencing Antarctica, in which high school teachers and
students participate in research projects in the Antarctic. This site,
provided by Rice University and the Education Development Center is made
possible by a grant from the National Science Foundation.
