Check Your Understanding

1. Providing electronic lecture outlines and course handouts.

On-line lecture outlines and course handouts provide an example of universal design of instruction because they are helpful learning tools for students with a wide range of needs. For example, they can reduce the notetaking load for students with poor fine motor or organizational skills. Students who are blind or visually impaired or students with health impairments that interfere with attendance can also more easily access on-line outlines and handouts.
